At Kettering Dental & Implant Clinic, we are aware that the current global situation has been a challenging time for everyone. We would like to thank our loyal patients for your continued support and understanding through this difficult time and we are excited to welcome you back at the clinic. We have been working tirelessly to evolve the ways in which we operate, meaning that we can begin to welcome you back as quickly and as safely as possible.

We understand that things may be different to your usual dental visit experience and that this may be cause for concern, so we’re here to provide you with useful information on what to expect on your next visit.

If you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19/Coronavirus, please cancel and do not attend your dental appointment and ensure you follow the government guidelines on self-isolation.You can cancel and manage your appointments online if you are unable to attend. Please be aware you will be charged for failed appointments and cancellations within 24 hours.

Before your appointment

Within 24 hours of your appointment, we ask that you update your contact details and your medical history, which includes a COVID questionnaire. This is an important part of our screening process and will reduce your time in the practice. To reduce unnecessary contact and contamination of paper, communication via email is encouraged.

On the day of your appointment

We ask that, before you arrive at the clinic, where possible, you have already brushed your teeth in preparation for your appointment, visited the lavatory, and ensured that you are hydrated. It is vital that you only bring the necessary items with you.

We are operating a closed-door policy. To notify our staff of your arrival, please Self-check-in with the link when you arrive at the practice whilst waiting outside. Please only call if you cannot do this.

Please note that there may be a longer wait than usual due to the new safety protocols in place.

To minimise risk, please ensure that you attend your appointment alone unless assistance is required from a parent or carer etc. We are currently accepting card payments only so, where possible, please do not attend your appointment with cash.

Entering the practice

When your appointment time approaches, a member of our staff will call to notify you to enter the dental clinic. If you do not have a mobile phone, please notify us beforehand and alternative arrangements will be made to accommodate.

Once you have been allowed into the practice, we ask that you please sanitise your hands. Members of staff will be located behind protective screens and a limited number of people will be permitted to wait in the reception area.

Treatment

Upon entering the treatment room, all members of staff will be required to wear extra Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to provide you proper care and services. This precaution could make it difficult to see our clinicians’ faces, but we assure that they will be our usual, friendly team. We also guarantee that each treatment room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected following each individual patient.

After the appointment

If you have not already paid for your appointment, contactless payment will be taken in the treatment room, including for any oral hygiene products, once your procedure is over. Your next appointment will be booked inside of the treatment room. Once finished, you can leave the practice without going to the reception area.

If you have any questions after the appointment, we will be able to email or call you to discuss this further; our aim is to minimise your time in the practice for your own safety.
